Hi, I’m James Coldren, founder of JC’s Cow Horn Buckles. In ’91, a near-fatal accident severed my left hand. The future looked bleak, but with my wife Shari’s tenacity, we defied the odds. She believed, and I fought back, turning to craft as my therapy.
This journey wasn’t easy. The early days saw me fumbling, struggling to regain control, but with each buckle made, my hand grew stronger, and my heart more hopeful. Those buckles became symbols of determination, markers of milestones in my recovery.
Today, every JC’s Cow Horn Buckle I create is a testament to that spirit of resilience. Crafted from Watusi steer horns, our buckles embody western grit and hope.
